Sprint interval timer for iPhone and Apple Watch
Redline is a timer for all-out sprint intervals. Set the number of sprints, press start, and it talks you through the session.
Pick how many sprints you want, how long each one is, and how long you rest between them. Press START. You get ten seconds to reach the line, then a voice cue for every transition from there on.
Yes, and that is the intended way to use it. Start Spotify, Apple Music, a podcast, anything at all, then open Redline. The cues lower your audio for a second, speak, and let it come back up. There is nothing to connect and nothing to sign into.
Yes. The cues keep playing with the screen locked and the phone in your hand. If you would rather watch the countdown, turn on "Keep screen on" in Settings, though it uses more battery.
Because the rest is the training. A sprint only counts as all-out if you are actually recovered when you start it, and a skip button quietly turns the session into something easier than what you set out to do.
So you have time to put the phone in your hand and get to the line. Sprinting from a standing tap is a good way to pull something.
Open the Watch app on your iPhone, scroll to Available Apps, and tap Install next to Redline. The Watch app runs a full session on its own, so you can leave the phone behind. Every transition is a tap on your wrist.
Yes. Change the number of sprints on either one and the other picks it up.
If you allow Health access, each finished session is saved as a high intensity interval training workout and counts toward your rings. You can turn this off in Settings.
Yes. No ads, no subscription, no in-app purchases, no account.
