Pin My Car ("the app") knows where you park. That is exactly the kind of information that should never leave your phone, and it does not.
None. Pin My Car does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information. There is no account, no login, no analytics, and no tracking. The app has no server of its own to send anything to.
The app uses your location to save the spot where you parked, to show how far away your car is, and to point an arrow back toward it. That location is written to storage on your iPhone and stays there. It is never uploaded, never shared, and never sold.
If you turn on automatic parking, the app also asks for Always access so iOS can wake it when you arrive somewhere after driving, and it checks your motion history to confirm you were in a car. Both are used on your device only, for that one purpose. Automatic parking is off unless you turn it on, and the app works fully without it.
Pin My Car keeps a list of the places you have parked, whether or not you have bought Pro. It is kept so that the list is already there for you if you do unlock Pro, which is what lets you browse it and get directions back to any of them. The list lives on your iPhone and is never sent anywhere.
You can erase all of it at any time, free or Pro, from Settings › Privacy › Clear parking history. Deleting the app erases it too.
Map tiles and street addresses come from Apple Maps, which is part of iOS. Apple's own privacy policy covers that. We receive nothing from it.
The one-time Pin My Car Pro unlock is processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never see or receive your payment information. Purchase status is managed by Apple's StoreKit on your device.
Meter reminders are local notifications, generated and delivered by iOS on your device. They are not sent through any server.
Pin My Car is rated 4+ and does not collect data from anyone, including children.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL.
